Responding to public debate over his low-profile style, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that true governance does not require publicity or self-promotion. He noted that the Ministry of Home Affairs deals with highly sensitive issues, many of which cannot be revealed publicly for security reasons.
“Some actions of the ministry cannot be disclosed, but that doesn’t mean nothing is being done,” Aryal shared on social media, adding that his focus remains on “sincere work, not propaganda.”
He also said that the government’s priority is to steer the nation toward stability through the upcoming elections. “We will fulfill our duty, thank the people for their patience, and move forward step by step toward good governance,” he stated.
Nepal is set to hold the next House of Representatives election on March 5, 2026.
