Late-Night Blaze Injures Three at Morang Oil Factory

A late-night fire triggered by a gas leak at Jaya Hanuman Oil Industries Pvt. Ltd. in Jamunagachi, Katahari Rural Municipality-4, Morang, injured three people on Friday.

 

The fire started around 12:10 a.m. and was brought under control about 45 minutes later by a team from the Katahari Police Post.

 

The injured have been identified as Arjun Pandit (30), the factory’s general manager from India; Dipak Kamat (22), a local worker; and Ali Alam (29) of Birgunj, Parsa. Police said Pandit and Kamat sustained moderate burns on their faces and limbs, while Alam suffered minor injuries to his neck and hair.

 

All three victims have been taken to Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, for treatment. Police confirmed that several gas cylinders were damaged in the incident, and an assessment of total losses is currently underway.
