Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has confirmed that he appears in a video circulated by royalist activist Durga Prasai.
Addressing the National Assembly’s Legislation Committee on Thursday, Aryal clarified that his presence in the footage was aimed at calming the situation and preventing unrest. He emphasized that he did not report any arson or casualties in the video but was encouraging restraint and caution.
He explained that when efforts to manage the tension through others failed, he personally stepped in to take action. Aryal also reiterated his long-standing commitment to nonviolence, highlighting that he continues to promote peaceful initiatives within his party.
