Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 9.61 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,665.60 points. The market dipped early after opening at 2,655.99 but later recovered and touched a high of 2,671.91 before settling slightly lower.
Most sectors ended in the green, with Hotels & Tourism gaining the most. Among the losers, Life Insurance saw the biggest drop. The Sensitive Index also inched up by 1.64 points.
Trading was active, with daily turnover rising to Rs 6.69 billion. A total of 142 companies gained, while 104 declined.
NRN Infrastructure & Development Ltd. had the highest turnover, while Jhapa Energy Limited was the top gainer of the day. Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited recorded the biggest fall.
