Many parts of Lumbini, Bagmati, and Madhesh provinces have been witnessing heavy rainfall since early this morning. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, places like Palpa, Pyuthan, Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Bara, and Rautahat are receiving continuous downpours.

With the heavy rain, rivers and streams flowing through Rupandehi, including the Lal Bakaiya River in Bara, could swell suddenly. The Flood Forecasting Division has urged people living near riverbanks and low-lying areas to stay alert and prepared for possible flooding.

Similarly, people living near smaller rivers like the Rangsing River in Arghakhanchi and the Surai River in Kapilvastu have also been advised to remain cautious.

More heavy rain is likely later today, especially in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The rainfall could continue into the night in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim.

Authorities have requested everyone to stay safe, keep an eye on weather updates, and take necessary precautions to avoid any danger from floods or rising rivers.
