The Rapti Academy of Health Sciences has approved a Rs 2.74 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year to build a 400-bed teaching hospital and support education, research, and management activities.
The decision was made during the academy’s sixth meeting, chaired by Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli. The meeting also approved changes to staff regulations and the institution’s logo.
PM Oli emphasized the need to enhance infrastructure and promote public health awareness. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Bikash Lamichhane shared that the hospital's master plan is already being implemented.
Meanwhile, the High-Level Governance Reform Commission’s second meeting was postponed.
