Harka Sampang and Durga Prasai Visit Army Headquarters

Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang and businessman Durga Prasai reached the Nepali Army headquarters in Bhadrakali on Wednesday.

Prasai also held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel, where they discussed the country’s current situation and possible ways forward. After the meeting, Prasai said, “My conclusion is clear I have no desire for leadership. My only priority is finding a solution for the country.”

He added that he respects the voice of the Gen-Z movement and would accept leadership from either Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah or former Chief Justice Sushila Karki.

Meanwhile, Harka Sampang remains at the Army headquarters, but details of his discussions have not yet been made public.

Throughout the day, Gen-Z representatives also met with Army officials and proposed forming a citizens’ government under the leadership of Sushila Karki.
