Hamas has no living hostages remaining in its custody following the latest phase of the Gaza hostage release. The militant group transferred all 20 surviving captives to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday, Times of Israel reported.

In two rounds of handovers, Hamas first released seven hostages, followed by 13 more later in the day. The 13 hostages from the second phase are currently being transported to Israel, while the earlier group has already arrived. The Israeli army has shared photos of those released in the first phase.

The list of 20 individuals released by Hamas did not include Nepali national Bipin Joshi, who was abducted during the October 7, 2023, attacks.’

Reports indicate that Hamas will now return the bodies of 28 deceased hostages, with some expected to be handed over as early as today. The completion of the hostage release marks a significant step in the ongoing Gaza peace arrangement.
