Gold prices have reached a new record in the Nepali market as trading resumed on Sunday, the first day of the week.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Federation, the price of hallmark gold has increased by Rs 600 per tola (1 tola = 11.66 grams), reaching Rs 1.768 lakh per tola, reflecting the ongoing fluctuations in the gold market. However, the price of Tejabi gold (worked gold) has not been updated in the latest market report.

Meanwhile, silver is being traded at Rs 2,025 per tola, maintaining stability compared to previous rates.

The gold and silver prices in Nepal are influenced by international market trends, currency exchange rates and local demand. Investors and jewelry buyers are closely monitoring these changes as gold remains a preferred investment option during uncertain times.
