The price of gold has increased by Rs 2,000 per tola (1 tola = 11.66 grams) in the domestic market on April 9, after four consecutive days of decline.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold is now set at Rs 175,400 per tola, up from Rs 173,400 per tola on Thursday.
Gold prices had been falling steadily since last Friday. In the past four days alone, the price had dropped by a total of Rs 6,900 including a fall of Rs 3,900 on Friday, Rs 1,900 on Sunday, Rs 700 on Monday, and Rs 400 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, silver prices have also seen a slight increase. Silver is now priced at Rs 1,835 per tola, up by Rs 5 from its previous rate of Rs 1,830.
The fluctuation in precious metal prices is influenced by changes in the international market and domestic demand.
