Gold prices fell in the local market on Tuesday. The price dropped by Rs 1,700 per tola compared to the previous day, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
The federation said gold is being sold at Rs 259,000 per tola today. On Monday, the price was Rs 260,700 per tola, which was the highest level ever recorded.
Even though gold became cheaper, silver prices went up on Tuesday. Silver increased by Rs 15 per tola and is now priced at Rs 3,885 per tola.
The federation explained that changes in international prices and local demand and supply continue to affect gold and silver prices in Nepal.
