Gold and silver prices in Nepal reached all-time highs on Monday, continuing their upward trend.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association reported that gold is now priced at Rs 261,700 per tola, which is Rs 3,400 higher than the previous day. This new rate breaks the record set just a week ago when gold was Rs 260,700 per tola.
Silver prices are also rising. On Monday, silver went up by Rs 130 per tola from the previous day, reaching Rs 4,235 per tola. The day before, it was Rs 4,105 per tola.
The rise in domestic prices follows the increase in international markets. Globally, gold reached USD 4,397 per ounce, and silver hit USD 69.37 per ounce.
Traders say that rising global prices and market uncertainty are driving gold and silver to record levels in Nepal.
