Gold and Silver Prices Drop in Domestic Market

The price of gold fell by Rs 2,000 per tola on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. Fine gold is now trading at Rs 258,400 per tola, down from Rs 260,400 per tola on Thursday. Gold had hit a record high of Rs 260,700 per tola on Monday.

Meanwhile, silver prices also declined by Rs 75 per tola, falling from Rs 4,085 per tola to Rs 4,005 per tola. Thursday’s price had marked the highest level for silver in the domestic market.

Market experts attribute the decline to fluctuations in international precious metal prices and shifting domestic demand.
