Gold prices corrected sharply on Friday after a major surge the previous day. Following Thursday’s jump of Rs 20,500 per tola, gold fell by the same margin, bringing the price down to Rs 318,300 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

Silver also saw a decline, with rates dropping by Rs 440 per tola to settle at Rs 7,065 per tola. Traders attribute the sudden fall to profit-booking after the dramatic rise earlier in the week.
