Fulpati Ushers Dashain Festivities Nationwide

The seventh day of Bada Dashain, known as Fulpati, is being observed across the country today, symbolizing prosperity and blessings for households. On this day, sacred flowers, leaves, and fruits are ceremoniously placed in the Dashain Ghar.

According to the Nepal Calendar Determination Committee, there is no fixed auspicious hour required to bring Fulpati into homes.

Though Dashain begins with Ghatasthapana, the festival gains full momentum from Fulpati onwards. From this day, government and private offices close, allowing families to reunite in their ancestral homes, worship Goddess Durga Bhawani, and receive blessings from elders.
