Four Businesses Fined During Market Inspection in Valley

The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has fined four firms during its regular market inspection in the Kathmandu Valley.

 

Nyano Nepali Sirak Industry in Madhyapur Thimi was fined Rs 20,000, while Shree Chonga Ganesh Hardware and Krishna Plywood and Paint in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, were each fined Rs 10,000. Imran Readymade in Kathmandu–16 was also fined Rs 10,000.

 

The department said the action was taken under Sections 15 and 38 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075. 

 

On Monday, inspections were carried out at 15 firms across Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, with 11 firms given general warnings and instructed to comply with the law.
