Former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari visited the Supreme Court on Friday to see the damage caused during the Gen-Z movement protests on September 8 and 9, 2025.
During her visit, she inspected parts of the court building that were burned during the protests. She also received information from judges and court officials about how much damage was done and the progress of reconstruction work.
According to sources, Bhandari also held a private one-on-one meeting with Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut. The meeting lasted about an hour, and staff from both sides were asked to stay outside. During the discussion, they talked about the damage caused by the protests and the overall situation of the judiciary after the unrest.
