Nepal Rastra Bank has released the latest foreign exchange rates for today (May 28), showing a mix of rises and falls in the value of major currencies.
The US dollar, British pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have gained value compared to Tuesday, while the value of euro and Australian dollar has slightly decreased.
The buying price of one US dollar is NPR 136.24 and the selling price is NPR 136.84, which is slightly higher than Tuesday’s rates of NPR 135.84 and NPR 136.44. The euro has dropped slightly, with the buying rate at NPR 154.57 and the selling rate at NPR 155.25, down from NPR 154.59 and NPR 155.27. The British pound has appreciated a little, with the buying rate at NPR 184.56 and the selling rate at NPR 185.38, compared to NPR 184.19 and NPR 185.00 yesterday.
The Australian dollar has weakened, with the buying rate of NPR 87.84 and selling rate of NPR 88.23, down from NPR 88.41 and NPR 88.80. The Kuwaiti dinar has continued to strengthen, with the buying rate of NPR 444.23 and the selling rate of NPR 446.19, slightly higher than Tuesday’s NPR 443.27 and NPR 445.20. The Bahraini dinar has edged up, with the buying rate of NPR 361.39 and the selling rate of NPR 362.98, up from NPR 360.32 and NPR 361.91 the previous day.
