Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has ruled out any plans to dismantle Nepal’s provincial system. Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport, Khanal, who also oversees the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, said the government is strictly following the constitution and has no intention of abolishing provinces.
He also dismissed rumours about banning Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes, clarifying that the matter has not been discussed at any level.
