EV Driver Killed in Head-On Collision with Bus in Chitwan

A fatal accident occurred in Chitwan when a bus collided with an electric vehicle (EV), resulting in the death of the EV driver.

At around 1:05 am at Jyamirechowk along the East-West Mahendra Highway in Khaireni municipality-2 on Friday (May 23)., a bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 7023), bound for Kathmandu from Udayapur, collided head-on with an EV (Bagmati Province 01-030 Cha 1157), critically injuring the EV driver, Pratip Timilsina (42) of Khaireni municipality-8. He was rushed to New Medical College in Bharatpur for treatment where he was declared dead at 3:00 am, police said.

Both vehicles and the bus driver are in police custody, and further investigation is underway.
