The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a meeting of its parliamentary members today at 9 AM. According to party spokesperson and Member of Parliament Manish Jha, the meeting has been called to discuss the recent visa scandal that has caused a political uproar.
The RSP has been strongly raising this issue in parliament. The party has accused Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak of being involved in the scandal and has demanded his resignation. RSP lawmakers have been staging protests during parliamentary sessions, saying that the scandal has damaged the country’s image and needs to be taken seriously.
To address public concerns, the government has formed an investigation committee headed by former Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi. However, the RSP has rejected the committee, saying it is not independent and cannot carry out a fair investigation. The party is expected to decide its next steps during today’s meeting.
