Acting Chief Election Commissioner Bhandari said he believes that having all PR-related work done from one office will make the process easier for everyone. He explained that representatives will be selected through a formula that uses data from the National Statistics Office and groups candidates by ethnicity, region, and gender, as required by law, helping maintain trust among political parties.
In the meantime, Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal and Law Minister Anil Kumar Sinha met with the Acting Chief Election Commissioner and other officials to discuss election preparations and the government’s support.
