Continuous rainfall has been occurring in Bajura since Friday morning. The weather changed since Thursday evening, and rain began early Friday, continuing throughout the day.

Along with the rainfall, snowfall has once again occurred in the district’s higher Himalayan and mountainous areas. This year, Bajura has experienced snowfall four times in Magh and Chaitra. Heavy snowfall was recorded in Magh, while in Chaitra, rain has been affecting lower areas and snowfall in higher regions.

After continuous rainfall, the upper Himalayan and high-altitude areas have turned white with snow. Snowfall has been reported in high regions of Badimalika, Gaumul, Himali, Triveni, and Budhinanda rural municipalities, while rainfall continues in other areas.

Farmers, however, are pleased with the weather conditions, as it is expected to benefit winter crops and fruit farming. According to the Agriculture Knowledge Center Bajura, local farmers are happy with the improvement in agricultural conditions.

Meanwhile, continuous rainfall has caused roads to become muddy and slippery. Transportation on roads leading from Martadi to eastern and northern regions has become difficult.

Electricity supply has also been disrupted due to damage in power lines caused by the rain, affecting services since early morning.

With temperatures dropping significantly, local authorities have urged residents to stay indoors, wear warm clothing, and remain cautious.
