Flight operations across Nepal were affected on Thursday due to unfavorable weather conditions, causing multiple diversions and cancellations, according to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said poor weather along flight routes led to the suspension of several services. Domestic flights to Bharatpur and Tumlingtar airports were completely halted, while Pokhara Airport suspended all arrivals, allowing only departures.

A Shree Airlines flight from Biratnagar to Kathmandu was forced to return to Biratnagar, and another flight from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu also had to turn back due to the same issue.

International flights were similarly affected. The Nepal Airlines flight bound for New Delhi was diverted to India, officials confirmed.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the diversions were made to prioritize passenger safety after low visibility disrupted flight paths. Flight operations are expected to return to normal once weather conditions improve.
