Prime Minister Sushila Karki today handed out degrees to students from different faculties of Nepal Open University during its first-ever convocation ceremony.
A total of 545 students graduated from the faculties of Science, Humanities, Education, Management, and Law, with 191 students present at the event.
As the University’s Chancellor, PM Karki also awarded the Chancellor’s Medal to the top students at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
The programme’s chief guest was educationist and former Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor, Kedar Bhakta Mathema.
Founded in 2073 BS, Nepal Open University now offers courses from the Bachelor’s level up to PhD.
