One Dead, One Injured in Jeep Accident in Tanahun

A jeep accident in Myagde Rural Municipality–4, Koldanda, Tanahun, on Sunday morning left one person dead and another injured.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK of the District Police Office said a jeep (Ga 3 Cha 5838) traveling from Koldanda to Tharpu fell about 20 meters off the Koldanda–Tharpu inner road.

The accident killed 13-year-old Koiska Gharti of Myagde–4. He was seriously injured and taken to the Provincial Hospital in Damauli, where doctors declared him dead at 8:40 am.

Another passenger, 15-year-old Dipsan Gharti from the same area, was injured and is receiving treatment. The driver, 30-year-old Basanta Gharti, has been taken into police custody for investigation.
