4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Taplejung

An earthquake was felt in the Kanchenjunga area of Taplejung early Tuesday morning.

According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, the earthquake measured 4.0 magnitude and struck at 2:47 am.

The center said the epicenter was near the Nepal–India border. Tremors were also felt in different parts of eastern Nepal.

So far, there have been no reports of any damage or casualties.
