Eleven out of the 12 people who lost their lives after a bus plunged into the Tamakoshi River at Manthali Municipality–6 in Ramechhap on Tuesday morning have been identified.
According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap, a total of 12 people died and eight others were injured when a bus (Province 03–01–005 Kh 9975) met with the accident.
Police suspect that some passengers may still be missing. The exact number of passengers on board has not yet been confirmed. The injured are currently receiving treatment in Dhulikhel and Kathmandu.
The driver, who sustained minor injuries, has been taken into police custody after receiving treatment. The District Police Office stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
