Westerly Winds Bring Clouds and Light Rain to Parts of Nepal

Nepal is currently affected by westerly winds. The hilly and Himalayan areas of Sudurpaschim Province, as well as Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, are mostly cloudy. Light rain with thunder and lightning is falling in a few places in Sudurpaschim Province, while most other parts of the country are seeing clear weather.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, cloud cover will continue over the high hilly and Himalayan regions this afternoon. Other areas will have partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of light rain or snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions. Light rain is also possible at one or two places in Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

At night, the hilly and Himalayan areas are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy. The Division has forecast light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
