Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for Saturday, with the US dollar hitting a record high against the Nepali rupee. According to the central bank, one US dollar is being bought at Rs 146.81 and sold at Rs 147.41.
Among other major currencies, one euro is being exchanged at Rs 172.31 for buying and Rs 173.02 for selling. The UK pound sterling stands at Rs 198.58 for buying and Rs 199.39 for selling, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 185.61 and Rs 186.37, respectively. The Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 100.55 for buying and Rs 100.96 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.50 and Rs 106.94, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.75 and Rs 115.22.
Similarly, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.27 and the selling rate at Rs 9.31. One Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 21.08 for buying and Rs 21.17 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 39.15 for buying and Rs 39.31 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 40.28 and Rs 40.45.
According to NRB, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.71 for buying and Rs 4.73 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 39.97 and Rs 40.13, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 36.65 and Rs 36.80, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.10 for buying and Rs 10.04 for selling. The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.27 for buying and Rs 16.34 for selling, while the Danish krone is being exchanged at Rs 23.07 and Rs 23.16.
Likewise, one Hong Kong dollar is being bought at Rs 18.83 and sold at Rs 18.90. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 480.32 for buying and Rs 482.28 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 389.39 and Rs 390.98, and the Omani rial at Rs 381.35 and Rs 382.91, according to the central bank.
