First Snowfall of the Season Blankets Humla, Roads Blocked

Heavy snowfall has covered most parts of Humla. After a long dry period since September, the district has received its first snowfall of the year, following rainfall that began on Friday. Farmers, who were worried due to the long absence of snow, have welcomed the snowfall with relief and happiness.

Rain is still continuing in the lower areas of Humla, while snowfall is taking place in the higher regions, including Simkot and Namkha. Usually, snowfall in the district starts after enough rainfall in the lower parts.

The snowfall has disrupted daily life in the area. Due to heavy snow, the road in Namkha Rural Municipality leading to Hilsa has been completely blocked, causing transportation problems.
