Westerly System Brings Cloudy Skies, Fog and Light Snowfall Across Nepal

The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that a westerly low-pressure system is affecting the country’s weather. Because of this, the weather across Nepal is partly cloudy.

Some places in the Tarai region may see fog and mist during the day. The hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces are expected to remain mostly cloudy. Other mountainous areas will have partly cloudy skies.

There is also a chance of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

At night, fog is likely to continue in a few parts of the Tarai. The hilly and mountainous areas will remain generally cloudy, and light snowfall may occur at one or two places in the high hills and mountains.
