Kathmandu Valley saw a small drop in temperature early Tuesday morning, with the lowest reading at 6.1 degrees Celsius. At the same time on Monday, the temperature had been slightly higher at 6.2 degrees Celsius. When the official reading was taken at 8:45 am, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded at 5.7 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologists say the official minimum temperature for today, which is also measured at 8:45 am, may be a little lower than the early-morning figure. The Weather Forecasting Division measures temperatures across the country every day, including in Kathmandu. It records the minimum temperature at 8:45 am and the maximum temperature at 5:45 pm.

The minimum temperature shows the coldest part of the day, while the maximum temperature shows the warmest.
