Unified Socialist Party Leader Arrested on Rape Charges

Police have arrested Bishnu Giri(51), a leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), from his home in Putalibazaar municipality-14, Syangja district, on rape charges.

The arrest of Giri, chairperson of the Madhav Nepal-led party's Syangja district committee and vice-chair of the Gandaki province committee, follows a warrant from the Kaski district court in response to a rape case.
