Trump Urges Hamas to Release Hostages Immediately

US President Donald Trump has given a final warning to the Palestinian militant group Hamas to release the hostages in Gaza. 

President Trump stated that America is ready to provide any support to Israel and warned Hamas that they will not be safe if they do not comply with his demands. This warning came just hours after the White House confirmed that direct talks were happening with Hamas regarding the hostages. 

According to White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt, these direct talks aim to ensure the safe release of the prisoners. In addition to the prisoners, America has also appealed to Hamas to return the dead bodies. 

Trump's threatening response came after he met with a group of hostages who were released under the first phase of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. 

Moreover, back in December, Trump had also stated that during his tenure, he would work to free the hostages in Gaza, and if Hamas does not listen, they might face serious consequences. The US, Egypt, and Qatar played key roles in mediating ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
