The election process under the ongoing 11th National General Convention of the CPN-UML has formally begun in Kathmandu.
After the convention’s closed session concluded at Bhrikutimandap, nomination forms are being distributed to candidates. Candidate registration is open until 1:30 pm today.
The preliminary list of candidates will be published at 2:30 pm, followed by a window for filing objections from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. After reviewing objections, the final list of candidates will be made public at 6:00 pm.
According to the election schedule, voting to elect the new leadership will be held on Tuesday, Poush 1, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
