The Police Circle in Bouddha, which was damaged and set on fire during the Gen-Z protests on September 9, has been rebuilt with help from local residents and various organizations. Police services are now being provided from the new building starting Sunday.
The new office was inaugurated on Sunday by Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki. Also present were Gorkarneshwor Municipality Mayor Dipak Kumar Risal, Chief of Police for Kathmandu Range Ramesh Thapa, and several others.
During the event, speakers urged that those responsible for damaging and burning public property should be held accountable. They added that CCTV footage could help identify the culprits.
