The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has urged both domestic and foreign tourists to postpone their travel to high Himalayan regions as rainfall and snowfall continue to affect several mountain areas.

TAAN President Sagar Pandey said that due to light to moderate rainfall across Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, travel in high-altitude areas has become risky. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, regions such as Dolpa, Dhaulagiri, Mustang, Manang, Manaslu, Langtang, and Everest are witnessing snowfall along with rain, disrupting trekking and other tourism activities.

Pandey mentioned that local authorities in some areas have already imposed restrictions on trekking routes. He advised tourists, expedition teams, and guides to avoid high passes and mountainous routes until weather conditions improve.
