The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday met with Durga Prasai, coordinator of the campaign “Rastra, Rashtriyata, Dharma, Sanskriti ra Nagarik Bachau Maha Abhiyan,” to discuss his upcoming protest plans.

The meeting was prompted by Prasai’s recent call for a nationwide movement demanding systemic change. NHRC officials, led by Chairperson Tap Bahadur Magar, sought clarification on the nature and intent of the agitation.

Prasai assured that the demonstrations would be peaceful, emphasizing that no acts of violence, vandalism, or arson would be carried out. He said the movement would span from Mechi to Mahakali, effectively shutting down major areas across the country.

He urged the public to prepare by securing essential goods like fuel and food supplies ahead of the protest. Prasai also mentioned that the commission had been informed in advance and appealed to government employees and police to remain off duty during the movement.
