At least 33 people, including children, have been killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, carried out despite an ongoing ceasefire brokered under U.S. mediation.

Israel accused Hamas of violating the truce, while Hamas maintained that it remains “fully committed” to the ceasefire, according to international media reports. Sporadic clashes have continued, prompting close monitoring from Washington.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed confidence that the ceasefire would hold, noting that occasional skirmishes do not necessarily mean the end of the truce. The current ceasefire agreement was initiated through efforts led by President Donald Trump.
