A new treason complaint has been lodged against Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and Hamro Nepal Party founder Sudan Gurung. The case, filed by Yubaraj Paudel at the Kathmandu District Police Office, will be forwarded to the investigation commission probing the September 8–9 incidents.

Another complaint has been filed against Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and Hamro Nepal Party founder Sudan Gurung, this time accusing them of treason.
The complaint was lodged by Yubaraj Paudel, also known as Yubaraj Safal, at the Kathmandu District Police Office. SP Pawan Bhattarai confirmed that the police have received the complaint and said it will be forwarded to the investigation commission formed to probe the incidents of September 8 and 9 (Bhadra 23 and 24).
Earlier on Tuesday, the UML-affiliated student union, ANNFSU, had also filed a similar complaint against Shah and Gurung, which is likewise set to be reviewed by the same commission.
