'The Most Suitable Time for the Movement of Royalist Forces Has Come'

"The most opportune time has come for the abrogation of the republican polity, federalism and secularism."

This is what Kamal Thapa, chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, said during an interaction with editors with regard to the planned movement of royalist forces starting from May 29, a day after the 17th anniversary of the declaration of Nepal as a federal, secular, democratic republic. 

With royalist forces that would not even see eye to eye coming together, the most appropriate time for the fulfilment of our agendas has come, he said.  

Other parties are trying hard to put the ideological existence of royalist forces in peril, he said, accusing the government of striving to introduce a law that regards any opposition to the republican polity as sedition. 

Speaking before Thapa, Rajendra Lingden of the RPP had accused Prime Minister himself of conspiring to turn the planned peaceful movement violent.
