As the protest drags on, there are concerns from diverse sections of the society that the protest over its impact on the academic activities like the publication of Secondary Education Examination results and grade XII exams rescheduled to begin from May 4 following their postponement. Several local governments have started calling teachers to return to classrooms as the new academic year has already begun.
At the call of Nepal Teachers' Federation, teachers of community schools from across the country have been staging a Kathmandu-centric protest demanding the enactment of a School Education Bill through the incorporation of their demands mentioned in agreements reached with the government, including the six-point deal of September 22, 2023.
