Nepal secured a dominant 9-wicket win over Bahrain in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Asia Qualifier. The match, reduced to 5 overs per side due to a delayed start, saw Bahrain setting a target of 42 runs after opting to bat first.
Nepal chased down the target in just 4.2 overs, losing only one wicket. Kavita Kunwar top-scored with 18 runs off 11 balls, while Samjhana Khadka remained unbeaten on 13. Indu Barma added 7 runs from 5 balls.
Earlier, Nepal’s first match against Hong Kong was canceled due to a wet outfield, resulting in both teams sharing one point. With this win, Nepal has earned 3 points from two matches.
Nepal is in Group C alongside Hong Kong and Bahrain. Each team plays the others twice, and the group winner advances to the Super-3 stage. The top two teams from Super-3 will qualify for the Global Qualifier
