Police have arrested six more people in connection with the incidents of looting, vandalism and arson that took place during the March 28 protest of pro-royalist forces in Tinkune and Koteshwor, taking the total number of arrests in the cases to 73.

Police have arrested six more people in connection with the incidents of looting, vandalism and arson that took place during the March 28 protest of pro-royalist forces in Tinkune and Koteshwor, taking the total number of arrests in the cases to 73.


The six arrested on the charge of criminal conspiracy and organized crime are are Amit Sah of Sarlahi (22), Suman Karki of Sunsari (19), Hemraj Tharu of Bardiya (34), Divas Bogati Chhetri (27) of Dhading, 30-year-old Anita Kunwar (Ani) and Kumar Tamang (30) of Sindhupalchowk.


Police have taken them into a three-day custody with permission from the Kathmandu district court for an investigation.


Rastriya Prajatantra Party generaly secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana and senior vice-president of the party, Rabindra Mishra, are among the 73 arrestees.
