The Shuklaphanta Tourism Festival is offering free nature guides to visitors, promoting the park as a top tourist destination. The festival, organized by Bhimdatta Municipality to celebrate the park’s founding, runs until February 27.

Rajendra KC, from the Bhimdatta Municipality Tourism Committee, said the initiative aims to showcase the park’s beauty and biodiversity. The park is covering safari and guide fees to attract more visitors.

Shuklaphanta National Park, known for its grasslands and diverse wildlife, is home to rare animals like leopards, rhinos, elephants, and over 2,200 buffaloes.

Ramchandra Regmi, from the Hotel Entrepreneurs Association, Kanchanpur, called for more government support to promote the park nationally and internationally. The festival also includes activities like cleanliness drives, essay contests, and meetings with tourism agents from Nepal and India.
