Nepal Literature Festival 2025 will be held in Pokhara from Falgun 15 to 18, featuring renowned writers, artists, and discussions.

The 12th edition of the Nepal Literature Festival 2025 will be held in Pokhara from Falgun 15 to Falgun 18. More than 200 well-known people, including writers, politicians, artists, journalists, and editors from Nepal and other countries, will attend.
The festival will have over 50 discussion sessions. It will begin with a lecture by Professor and economist Mahendra P. Lama. Actress Manisha Koirala and journalist Vijay Kumar will have a special conversation about spirituality and struggle. Under Project Sarangi, Kiran Nepali will lead a group musical performance.
There will also be performances by Nepal’s pop legend Om Bikram Bista and the band "Sonagi Blues." The event will take place at Barahighat, Lakeside. It is promoted by the Pokhara Metropolitan City, with support from the Gandaki Provincial Government.
According to festival director Ajit Baral, the Nepal Literature Festival started in 2011, and since then, many literary festivals have been held in Nepal every year. He believes this festival has helped strengthen public discussions on important topics.
Executive director Neeraj Bhari said the festival has received support from both senior and new-generation writers since the beginning. The organizing team, Bookworm Foundation, wants to create a platform that encourages young writers, authors, and thinkers.
Journalist and organizing member Bharat Koirala said that this annual festival has helped shape Pokhara’s culture and identity as a city known for hosting major events.
