Schools Closed For Four Days In Kanchanpur

Due to the ongoing cold wave in Kanchanpur district, local levels in the Sudurpaschim Province have decided to halt school classes for four days to protect students' health.

The district has been experiencing extreme cold for the past week. Shuklaphanta Municipality, Punarbas Municipality, and Krishnapur Municipality have declared a winter holiday starting today, citing the negative impact of the biting cold on students' health. These municipalities have also directed both private and community schools to suspend classroom-based teaching during this period.

Khemraj Bista, the Chief Administrative Officer of Shuklaphanta Municipality, explained that the decision was made as regular classroom activities were being disrupted and the cold wave was adversely affecting students' well-being.
