NAST, FNCCI To Collaborate For Industrial Development

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) have discussed ways to promote scientific collaboration for industrial development in Nepal. During the meeting, NAST presented a proposal to FNCCI for working together on research and development activities, research grants, and PhD fellowships for technology innovation.

NAST Vice Chancellor Dr. Dilip Kumar Subba and FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal discussed various areas of cooperation. NAST proposed partnerships with the industrial sector for programs like innovation fellowships, research support for young scientists, grants for Master's theses, and financial aid for scientific organizations. NAST also suggested collaborating on industry-sponsored research projects and the creation of innovation centers.

FNCCI President Dhakal welcomed the cooperation proposals, saying they could be explored further. Dr. Subba emphasized that this collaboration could help boost Nepal's industrial development.
