The Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) has changed the location of its protest planned for today, April 28.
The protest, which was originally scheduled to take place at Bhrikuti Mandap, will now be held at Shanti Batika in Ratna Park, as per a press release from the party. The protest will begin at 1:30 PM.
The demonstration is being held to demand the release of RPP Senior Vice Chair Rabindra Mishra, who was arrested after a pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu on March 28.
RPP General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana, who was arrested along with Mishra, was granted bail on Sunday for medical treatment. However, Mishra, Durga Prasai, and several others are still in custody.
The reason for the change in venue has not been explained, but Bhrikuti Mandap is in a government-designated restricted area.
